Tips for a Healthier You

Hand sanitizer dispensers in Wes computer labs
Computer keyboards can be one of the most germ-infested surfaces we come in contact with on a daily basis, especially in computing labs. In an effort to reduce the transmission of infectious diseases on campus, Health Services, WesWELL, the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) and the Business Continuity Planning Committee collaborated to have hand sanitizer dispensers installed in or near the computing labs on campus. Look for them next time you are in a lab!

Birth Control Pill FAQ: Benefits, risks and choices
The Mayo Clinic offers a FAQ about the various types of birth control pills, including those that eliminate your period. Check it out whether you are considering starting the pill, are currently on it, or are just interested in learning more about this commonly used form of hormonal contraception.

Subtle Racism Harasses Brain
According to a recent Princeton psychological study reported on WebMD, subtle racism interferes with the mental functioning of African-Americans even more than overt racism does.
